We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your personal data in compliance with applicable Indian laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA). Adjuva Legal LLP acts as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data collected in relation to this Competition. 1.3. By participating in the Competition, You signify Your consent to the collection, processing, use, storage, and disclosure of Your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy and the Competition’s Terms and Conditions. If You do not agree with this policy, please do not participate in the Competition.

This includes: a) Contact Information: Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number. b) Demographic Information: Age or Age Range. c) Location Information: Full Address (including City, State, PIN Code – primarily for prize fulfillment). d) Submission Details: Article Title, Submitted Article File (content and associated metadata). e) Payment Information: We utilize Razorpay for payment processing. While We do not directly store your full credit/debit card details, We receive and store payment confirmation details, including a Transaction ID linked to Your entry. Razorpay’s processing is subject to their own privacy policy. 2.2. We may also automatically collect technical information when You visit the Website, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and Browse activity through logs or cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information (Purposes of Processing)

3.1. We process Your personal data for the following specific purposes related to the Competition: a) Competition Administration: To register Your entry, verify Your eligibility, process Your Entry Fee, manage submissions, and generally administer the Competition. b) Communication: To send You confirmations, updates about the Competition, respond to Your inquiries, and notify potential winners. c) Judging Process: To facilitate the judging process. Submitted article files will be anonymized (stripped of direct personal identifiers) before being shared with the Judging Panel. d) Winner Announcement & Prize Fulfillment: To announce winners (potentially including name and city/state) publicly on the Website and other platforms, and to contact winners to verify details and arrange for the delivery of prizes and certificates. e) Certificate Issuance: To issue digital certificates of participation to all eligible entrants and physical certificates to winners. f) Publication (with Consent/License): To potentially publish winning or selected articles on the Organizer’s website or promotional materials, with attribution, as per the license granted in the Terms and Conditions. g) Statistical Analysis: To analyze participation trends (using aggregated or anonymized data) to improve future competitions. h) Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests. i) Marketing Communications (Optional): To send You information about future competitions or services from Adjuva Legal LLP, only if You provide separate, explicit consent for such communications during the entry process or otherwise.

4.1. We process Your personal data primarily based on Your Consent, which You provide by agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy when entering the Competition. 4.2. Disclosure may occur in the following circumstances: a) Judging Panel: Only anonymized versions of submitted articles will be shared with judges. b) Payment Gateway (Razorpay): Information necessary to process Your Entry Fee will be shared with Razorpay, subject to their privacy policy. c) Service Providers: We may engage third-party service providers (e.g., hosting providers, email services, courier services for prize delivery) who process data on Our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements. d) Public Announcement (Winners): Winners’ names and potentially city/state may be announced publicly as part of Competition results. e) Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request. f) Adjuva Legal LLP Internal: Access is limited to personnel who require the information for Competition administration.

6. Data Retention

6.1. We will retain Your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, including administering the Competition, announcing winners, awarding prizes, and complying with legal or regulatory retention requirements. Data related to non-winning entries may be anonymized or deleted after a reasonable period following the Competition’s conclusion (e.g., 6-12 months), while winner information may be retained longer for record-keeping.

7.1. We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures (such as HTTPS, access controls, data encryption where appropriate) to protect Your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet-based system is 100% secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not process children’s data in any manner likely to cause harm, nor do we undertake tracking, behavioral monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children. Parents/guardians can exercise data protection rights on behalf of their children. The Organizer reserves the right to verify parental/guardian consent.
